LYNDSEY DAVIDSON

Lyndsey is the founder of The Hunter Press, a Letterpress print studio born from a passion for heritage crafts and hands-on making.

After working in graphic design and earning a First Class Honours Degree in Design and Digital Art, Lyndsey shifted from pixels to paper—establishing her own studio and embracing the rich, tactile world of Letterpress printing.

Her recent work explores the intersection of Letterpress and alternative photographic techniques, including Cyanotype and Photogravure. Now based in the countryside and raising a young family, her practice reflects a deeper, more experimental connection to the land around her.  With a focus on forest floors and local flora, her work draws from the rhythms of nature and the depth of traditional Scottish language. Lyndsey’s interest lies in the symbiotic relationship between art, landscape, and language—where meaning grows in the space between.

Lyndsey’s work is deeply rooted in traditional Scots and Gaelic language, and her current research into natural and botanical pigments continues to push the boundaries of sustainable, place-based printmaking.
